Cranium Club!



At the beginning of the year, learned how to ask questions and find answers to explain the world around us, like scientists.  We explore different topics related to earth science. During the second trimester, students will be learning topics related to physical science including: forces, motion, waves, energy, and properties and states of matter. The third trimester involves the study of  Life Science: plants, animals and ecosystems. In conjunction with these topics, please consider completing one or more of the following optional projects: 

*Make a trifold or quadrama containing information about a scientist.  Be sure to include the scientist's name, photo, and at least three related facts on a freestanding trifold board or quadrama display. There are tons of scientists to research! Some to consider include: Jane Goodall, Leonardo DaVinci, The Wright Bros., Sally Ride...

*Start a Collection! Bring a collection of small items in a container labeled with the title and your name.  Some items to consider collecting include: rocks, stamps, keys,...Image result for car key collection

*Complete a Child Friendly Project!

Projects are optional and may be completed individually, or collaboratively with family members and/or friends. If you have an idea for a project not listed above, please have it approved by Mrs. Dimitriades first. 

Projects involving live animals, food and volcanos/eruptions are not permitted.

Upon completing an aesthetically pleasing project LABELED WITH YOUR NAME, please submit it to Mrs. Dimitriades to share with our class and she will add your name to the Cranium Club classroom display!
